lyrics
Asphyxiate - Void of sound and light
Asphyxiate - Shifting paradigm
Symbiosis in abyssal dread.
Essence fused to corporeal flesh
Entwined in fusions of light
Designed by unknown cosmic rite
beyond a distant blinding white
This flesh instantly ignites
Spiral of eternal dread transcends this husk I will shed
A trance, a daze-
Prison within my own flesh
Consuming last fibers of sentience
Expanding universe
Altered consciousness
Intertwined bodies coalesce
Fluxing universe (luminescence searing white)
Breathing its own ebb and flow (cosmic blight)
Casting consciousness
soul to flesh and bone
Mind of its very own
Gazing eons of void
Spiraling dread
Looming mortal coil

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal

A grand display that's equally gorgeous and grotesque! Churning, writhing rhythms lay the groundwork for caustic, venomous vocals and discordant melodies that remind me of a death metal version of Blut Aus Nord. One of 2023's best metal albums! Turd Ferguson

This searing, four-track split from Bog Wizard (Michigan) and Dust Lord (Colorado) pairs stoner rock riffs with hard fantasy themes. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 10, 2021

I'm kicking my own ass for somehow missing this when it released. Expertly arranged death metal with kick drums that could demolish a high-rise. zirtonic
